Grassroots Garden Group is excited to announce its 5th Annual Plant Sale happening on Saturday, May 13th, from 9am-noon. As always, the sale will be held at the gazebo near the Westchester fountain at Mannheim Road and 22nd Street. There will be a wide assortment of vegetables, herbs, and flowers, to choose from. “Grassroots members planted over 400 plants earlier this year and have been tending them with great care just for you,” says group president, Bethanny Alexander. “We have tomatoes, peppers, beans, broccoli, squash, basil, dill, not to mention a wide array of annuals to enhance your gardens and dinner table this summer!”
All plants are just $5 each and all proceeds will benefit the Westchester Food Pantry. Since 2018, Grassroots Garden Group has donated nearly $20,000 to the pantry between sales from the plant sale and its annual garden walk. “We are excited to hit the $20K milestone with this sale and are grateful to be partners with the Westchester Food Pantry,” remarked Alexander. Cash, check, Venmo, and Zelle, are all accepted at the plant sale.
Completing the RSVP form is optional, but doing so provides several advantages:

- Allows us to send you event updates and reminders
- Allows us to contact you should the event be cancelled
This sale will operate on a first come, first served basis. Completing the RSVP form does not ensure availability of plants.
